2/3 Cell Lithium Polymer Balance Charger (Mains)

Introduction

Lithium Polymer Balance Charger (NR-BLIC-03A) is a low cost battery charger for 2 or 3 cell Lithium Polymer Battery Packs. It can charge LiPo batteries with maximum current of 800mA. Works on 100-240VAC. Battery Charger has true isolation between mains and battery charging circuit. This battery charger can charge all compatible 2/3 Cell Lithium Polymer Batteries from NEX Robotics.
In multi-celled Lithium Polymer battery pack, it is possible for the individual cells to develop differences in their charge levels. Since Lithium Polymer batteries are very sensitive to overcharging, it is important that cells inside the battery pack should be kept at the equal charge levels while charging. NR-BLIC-03A balance charger form the NEX Robotics is capable of monitoring individual cell voltages of the battery pack and adjust the rate of charge to the individual battery to achieve balance charging.

Important

• If LiPo batteries are deep discharged i.e. if voltage of the individual cell falls below 3.3V then battery charger will try to revive the individual cell. If it can not revive it then it will refuse to charge the deep discharged battery.
• In order to prevent battery from deep discharging, use Battery Protection circuits from NEX Robotics
• Damaged battery may catch fire while charging. Always charge battery in open space on non-flammable surface such as concrete. We strongly recommend putting battery inside Li-Po Guard Fire Proof Bag from NEX Robotics while charging the battery.
